Two families of Hunters combine their efforts to carry on a 128-year-old family farming tradition. Chip and Tom, the fourth generation, celebrating their 40th year in farming, in 2018, continue their novel and innovative farming practices and season extending technologies to provide fresh, nutritious and healthy produce. They sell most of their produce in their unique on-farm Market and on Saturdays, during corn season, they share their famous “Hydrocooled Sweet Corn” with the patrons of the Boyce Farmers Market in Fredericton.
Their continuing commitment to healthy, balanced soils and their strict adherence to the use of plow down crops, lime, rotation and microbe enhancement means less dependence on commercial amendments resulting in sweeter, healthier produce.
In the Fall they open their farm to the public and provide a family-oriented farm experience to thousands of visitors, from everywhere in the province and beyond. The many activities include a cornfield maze, pig races, duck races, wagon rides, straw structures, giant slides, jumping pillow as well as all the Fall bounty offered in their Farm Market.
As they say, “The greatest joy is being able to work with our families on this wonderful project and as the younger members of our families take on more and more responsibility we look forward to serving you and your families for many years to come”.No Records Found
